On the Move
You’d think that after attending 13 different schools before graduating high school and after all of the traveling I’ve done all over the world, I would be used to moving. I recently moved out of my old studio and into a new one (still in Philly)! It’s been a crazy few months with RAW and POST, so the moving is getting to be pretty hectic!
I don’t even have a moment to stop and think about how I feel. I’ve developed the mentality of just knowing what I have to do and doing it. The only time I really get to pause and have deep thoughts is when I’m drawing.
They say a successful/famous artist spends 80% “out there” and 20% drawing. It’s absolutely a shame! But in that 20% I have for my art, that’s when I feel the most alive. My work brings out the best in me, and I don’t know where I would be without it.
I always seem to be on the move, but wherever I am my art keeps me grounded.
