If you’re like me, quirky expressions on owls make you smile. I made this piece with a huge grin on my face, enjoying every second of the design challenges and the charm of its sleepy, scraggly personality.

There’s something so endearing about the imperfect—the shaggy feathers, the slitted eyes, the unpolished moments that tell a story all their own. Doppy is an owl unlike any other, with a sleepy expression that feels both relatable and full of character.

Drawing this piece was pure joy. I found myself lost in the play of texture, letting the feathers carry the mood and the expression set the tone.
